Leonardo and Michelangelo

Rome - Capitoline Museums

Two Masters of Italian Renaissance for the first time in comparison: Leonardo and Michelangelo are the protagonists of a exhibition in Rome on schedule from 27 October to 19 February at Palazzo Caffarelli of the Capitoline Museums.

The exhibition entitled "Leonardo e Michelangelo. Capolavori della grafica e studi romani" (Masterpieces of graphic art and Roman studies) hosts 66 drawings by the hand of the two great artists: Leonardo's are from the collection of the Veneranda Biblioteca Ambrosiana in Milan, while Michelangelo's are from the Fondazione Casa Buonarroti di Firenze.

Leonardo and Michelangelo exhibition at Capitoline Museums is curated by Pietro C. Marani and Pina Ragionieri, under the high patronage of the President of the Italian Republic, and arranged by the Metamorfosi Cultural Association and Zètema Progetto Cultura.

In the first section of the exhibition, 9 drawings by Leonardo that are a proof of his studies in the fields of mechanics, architecture, hydraulics, and geometry, are placed next the 9 most famous drawings by Michelangelo, including the enigmatic Cleopatra and Leda's head.

Leonardo and Michelangelo exhibition in Rome is a unique opportunity to see in close comparison two geniuses of Italian Renaissance and greatest artists of all the time, who compete for the whole life but actually spending most of their time observing and admiring each other's works.

Leonardo and Michelangelo exhibition, Capolavori della grafica e studi romani at Capitoline Museums in Piazza del Campidoglio 1, Via del Tempio di Giove. I chose the trevi fountain room and found it very clean, tidy and cosy. Now I'm looking forward to coming back to Rome, which is amazing, and will certainly book the same room again, or perhaps try the superior!

my wife and I had booked the superior de luxe room some days before departure, and were very pleased at our arrival to see such a large, bright room all for us! i think the best room we could have founded in the city at the same price.

I believe Prati is the best district in Rome for shopping and dining, this is why we chose rome armony suite. The accommodation was great, no problems throughout the stay, no noise at nights despite the central position.
